Read the Court's Order From the Firm's Recent $7.7 Million Award in an Employment Case

The Digesti Law Firm recently secured an award of $7.7 million, one of the largest awards in recent history for employment cases in Nevada.  The details of the case, and the award, can be read here in the Court's order.  After four years of strategic and aggressive prosecution of the case, a Judge awarded the Firm's client $7.7 million dollars, which included lost wages, emotional distress, punitive damages, and attorney's fees.

Court Orders Oral Argument on Fire Fighters Petition for Judicial Review

The Digesti Law Firm LLP represents Local 731, the fire fighters union for the City of Reno.  The Firm's representation centers on the Union's collective bargaining agreement with the City and the management/employee labor laws that flow from the Agreement.  

Local 731 filed a complaint for prohibited practices by the City of Reno during the recent budget negotiations.  The case is currently pending in District Court, and oral arguments have been scheduled for September 8, 2011.  A copy of Local 731's opening brief can be found here.

The Firm Obtains an Early Dismissal of a Hunting Dispute for Client

The Digesti Law Firm LLP was retained by an avid hunter to defend him against a claim that he unlawfully possessed a trophy deer that belonged to a fellow archery hunter.  The Firm aggressively defended the client by filing a motion to dismiss each claim in the complaint.  You can read the motion here.  

The District Court for the Second Judicial District of Nevada agreed with the Firm's argument and dismissed each claim against the client.  You can read the Court's order dismissing the complaint here.
